PLS CADD Basic 1: PLS CADD Environment

Opening a PLS CADD software, you will find these following basic views:

1. Plan - Top view of a project power line route.

2. Profile - Allows you to view 2D horizontal and vertical aspect. It can be use to see clearances, spacing and spanning between interested objects.

3. 3D - The sheet where you do most of your task. It is where you can edit all your concerns regarding your project. Here, you change structures(poles or towers with corresponding attachments), insert cables of your selection and check your work.

4. Sheets (Sketch and elevation) View - Top view of you power line route with corresponding values such as angles, distances, and structure label.

                                                                                 Sketch
                                                                               Elevation

These are the basic views you will find and getting used to it is your first thing you must do. What you see above are some examples of my simulation. Basic views are the ones you will be using from time to time when you open this software. Plan, profile and sheet views are your documentation views. These can be edited, formatted and printed according to your preferences. 3D view is your most common interactive pane where you can simulate your project.
